Overtone is a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky from Lochlea in Ayrshire, bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and natural colour, and only 1,500 bottles were released.
The whisky starts as Lochlea's Our Barley, matured in a mix of bourbon, STR and oloroso sherry casks. It then moves into casks that Overtone, a Glasgow craft brewery, had used for about eight months to age its stout. The release is the result of several cask experiments between the distillery and the brewery.
