A Lochlea single malt from the Ploughing Edition series, released in step with the farming seasons. This Second Crop was matured in ex-Islay barrels that previously held peated 10 year old whisky, which adds an earthy character. The nose is fresh green apple with the distillery's cereal note. Succulent fruit and freshly cut summer hay follow on the palate, and the finish carries sea salt and lingering peaty embers.
