Lochlea Sowing Edition (Third Crop) is a Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the distillery's seasonal releases, which appear quarterly and follow the year on the farm. This one is dedicated to spring sowing.
Lochlea grows all its own barley and distils and matures on site. This whisky was aged in first fill bourbon barrels, which give it its golden colour, and no colouring has been added.
Typical notes are sweet, creamy vanilla, rose, apple blossom, Italian wedding almonds, hay and fresh grass.
