Second Crop is the spring release in Lochlea's Sowing Edition, the first of the distillery's four small-batch bottlings for 2023. The series follows the farm through the seasons, and this one coincides with the sowing of the year's barley.
It is matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, taken from higher in the warehouse than those used for the 2022 release. It is a limited release in a 70cl bottle.
The character is bright and fresh, with plenty of fruit.
