Lock Stock & Barrel 21 Year Old is a straight rye whiskey, bottled at 55.5% ABV (111 proof) in a 750ml bottle. The mash bill is 100% rye, and the spirit was distilled and barrelled in May 1999.
It was double-distilled in copper pots and then aged for twenty-one years in new charred American oak.
The nose runs from warm spiced date cake, treacle toffee and orange peel to baking spice. The palate moves through treacle, caramel, coconut, cocoa, cinnamon and anise. The finish is long, with leather, oak, a little smoke and a dry rye-spice close.
