This is a 25 year old straight rye whiskey from Lock Stock & Barrel, bottled at 111 proof, or 55.5% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It is a limited edition in a matte black bottle with raised design elements.
The whiskey was distilled in Alberta, Canada, from a 100% rye mashbill and matured in new charred American oak. It was bottled in the USA by Cooper Spirits Co.
The nose combines pipe tobacco, saddle leather, old oak and dark molasses. On the palate come rye spice, black liquorice, dark chocolate, burnt orange peel and roasted coffee. The finish is very long, warm and dry, with oak, spice and bitter cacao.
