A 15 year old Kentucky straight bourbon, made by Lone Whisker with Boone County Distilling and bottled at 47% (93.8 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It is a limited release.
The spirit was distilled in August 2009 and matured in oak barrels for the full 15 years. The mashbill is about 75% corn, with rye and malted barley making up the rest.
The nose offers caramel, toasted oak, dried fruit and a floral note, with leather beneath. The palate is soft, with vanilla, maraschino cherry, chocolate and baking spice. The finish is warm, with oak, leather and a trailing spice.
