Long John is a blended Scotch whisky at 35% ABV, with a history going back to 1911. It was established by 'Long' John Macdonald, who founded Ben Nevis distillery in 1825, and after passing through various owners it is now associated with Tormore distillery.
The blend is made from 48 different malts.
It is described as smooth, with subtle hints of caramel and spice, and is suited to sipping neat, over ice or in cocktails.
