A 21 year old Speyside single malt from Longmorn, bottled by Douglas Laing in its Old Particular range from a single refill hogshead. The cask was filled in 1992 and the whisky bottled in September 2014 at 50.7% in a 70cl bottle, one of 289. Longmorn is the distillery where Masataka Taketsuru worked before returning to Japan, and it is not often seen as a single cask bottling. The nose is round, fruity and spiced, with a sweet barley, sherbety character. The palate is led by spice, with cinnamon and ginger, light oak, crushed sugar and soft camphor. The finish is of medium length, fruity and cereal-focused.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
