Longmorn – 30 Year Old 1984/2015 Silver Seal Wildlife Collection, Sherry Cask #3212 (70cl, 56.3%)

Longmorn 30 Year Old is a Speyside single malt selected by the independent bottler Silver Seal for its Wildlife Collection. It was distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2015 at 56.3% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. All thirty years were spent in a single sherry cask, number 3212, and the whisky was bottled at cask strength without chill filtration. The nose is dried fruit, dark chocolate, old oak, orange zest, polished leather and spices. The palate brings stewed fruit, walnuts, dark caramel, fig jam and Christmas cake with cinnamon and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with dried fruit, oak spice, gentle tannins, coffee and tobacco.
