Sherry hogshead
A Speyside single malt from Longmorn, distilled in 1970 and 51 years old. Gordon & MacPhail matured it in a single sherry hogshead for its Connoisseurs Choice Private Collection, part of the 2022 Summer Collection, and bottled it at 44.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 78 bottles were produced. The cask gave sweet fruitcake aromas and dark fruit on the palate. The nose is rich with sherry, vanilla and sweet spices, then milk chocolate, citrus, sultana and beeswax polish. Peppery dark liquorice, ripe raspberry and orange marmalade lead to charred oak and roast coffee bean. The finish is spicy, with dark fruit and grapefruit.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
