Longrow 18 Year Old is a Campbeltown single malt from Springbank Distillery, and this is the 2024 edition of the annual release. Longrow is the peated style made at Springbank.
The whisky was matured for 18 years in a mix of 90% sherry casks and 10% port casks. The sherry brings richness and structure, while the port casks add a subtle red-fruit note that lifts the mid-palate and rounds out the finish.
It is described as a layered dram, with dark, wine-led fruit and polished oak alongside a dry, earthy coastal smoke.
