The 2022 release of the annual Longrow 21 Year Old, the oldest whisky in the Longrow core range. Its maturation differs with each release. This edition was matured in 30% bourbon, 60% sherry and 10% Chardonnay casks, and is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has soft peat, smoked mussels and cured meats, with apricot and peach. The palate is more robustly peated, with seaweed, samphire and soft ripe berries. The finish is creamy, with raspberries, caramelised butter, cranachan and lasting peat smoke.
