Longrow 21 Year is a peated Campbeltown single malt from Springbank Distillery, matured for twenty-one years and released in small quantities, in a 70cl bottle.
Longrow is the peated style of Springbank. Production includes floor malting and small batch distillation, and the long maturation is described as softening the peat while adding complexity.
The nose is gentle peat smoke, dried fruit, sea spray and a little vanilla. The palate brings smouldering peat, citrus oil, malt sweetness and oak spice. The finish is long and evolving, with smoke, coastal salinity and oak.
