Longrow Peated Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 46%)

Longrow Peated is a Campbeltown single malt made at Springbank, bottled at 46% without chill-filtration or added colouring. The malt is dried over peat for 48 hours, reaching around 50 to 55 parts per million of phenol, and the spirit is distilled twice. It is matured in ex-bourbon casks. The Longrow name comes from a Campbeltown distillery founded in 1824 that closed in 1896, and Springbank revived it as a style in 1973. Chimney soot, salt water and driftwood lead the nose. The palate is oily, with salted lemon, olive brine, butter and passion fruit, and the finish is long, closing on mineral smoke.
