Longrow Peated (70cl, 46%)

Longrow Peated is a single malt from Springbank Distillery in Campbeltown, in a 70cl bottle at 46%. Longrow is the name Springbank gives to its heavily peated malt, which makes up about 10% of the distillery's output. The name comes from the original Longrow distillery, which operated in Campbeltown between 1824 and 1896. The malt is peated to around 55 ppm, and the whisky is light gold in colour, with natural colour and no chill-filtering. The nose has chimney soot, sea salt and driftwood. On the palate come mineral notes of salted lemon, olive, butter and passion fruit.
