A 15-year-old peated Campbeltown single malt from Springbank, sold under the Longrow name and bottled at 51.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It spent 11 years in bourbon barrels, then a further four years in fresh Pinot Noir barriques from winemaker Grant Taylor's Valli vineyards in Central Otago, New Zealand.
The nose is fresh and slightly smoky, with cherry and other red fruits alongside floral notes. The palate is smooth and sweet, with red grapes, black fruits, oak, nuts and a hint of cloves. The finish is long, with smoke and tobacco over a gentle fruit sweetness.
