Longrow Red 7 Year Old is an annual limited release from Longrow, the heavily peated brand of Springbank distillery in Campbeltown. It is a single malt matured for seven years in Pinot Noir wine casks. The pairing is what sets it apart: Campbeltown maritime peat set against the light red fruit, earthy tannin and delicate wine character of Pinot Noir. Pinot Noir is the lightest of the wine casks used in the Longrow Red series, so its subtle fruit meets the assertive peat.
