Los Siete Misterios Doba-Yej Mezcal (70cl, 44%)

Doba-Yej is a mezcal from Los Siete Misterios, a producer founded in 2011 by the brothers Julio and Eduardo Mestre. It was created to bring mezcal to more people through cocktails, though it also drinks well neat. The house makes its mezcal from mature agave, cooking the plants in underground ovens, fermenting naturally and distilling twice in handmade clay pots. Doba-Yej is its first copper-still distillate made outside Sola de Vega. It is well balanced, with lemon, lime, grapefruit, smoke and apple in the aroma and flavour. It is bottled at 44% in a 70cl bottle.
