Louis Roederer Cristal Brut (75cl)

Cristal is the prestige cuvée of Roederer, made as a Champagne in a 75cl bottle. The blend uses only Grand Cru grapes, 55% pinot noir and 45% chardonnay, with 20% of the wines vinified in oak foudres. The cuvée spends on average five years in the chalk cellars of the house, then a further eight months after disgorgement and dosage. The nose is delicate and complex, with white flowers, chocolate, toasted hazelnuts and candied citrus. The palate is nuanced and finely lacy, with a silky texture, and is concentrated and ample, with ripe fruit, caramel, vanilla and pastry notes.
