Luc Belaire Gold is a sparkling cuvée from Burgundy in France, blended from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Its dosage uses organic sugarcane, a reference to the French Années folles of the 1920s, and adds a touch of sweetness. It is in a 187ml bottle at 11% ABV.
The palate balances crisp acidity with ripe fruit, with pear, fresh citrus and subtle floral notes, then a delicate hint of brioche and minerality. It is best served chilled in flutes, or with light appetisers such as seafood or charcuterie.
