Lucente is the second wine of Tenuta Luce, made by Frescobaldi. It is a red wine from Toscana IGT, built from Sangiovese and Merlot. Part of the ageing takes place in French oak barriques, giving an elegant, well-structured tannic frame. The wine shows intense ruby colour, with blackberry and cherry fruit alongside chocolate and vanilla. On the palate it balances Sangiovese's robustness with Merlot's softness, finishing with persistent aromatic length. It suits red meats and aged cheeses.
