Luis Felipe Gran Reserva 60 Year Old Brandy (70cl, 40%)

Luis Felipe Gran Reserva is a Spanish brandy distilled and bottled by the Rubio distillery and aged for 60 years in oak casks. It is deep amber in colour, with reflections from mahogany to old gold. The nose offers ripe plum and apricot, vanilla, dark chocolate and a little black pepper, with tobacco and leather from the long time in wood. The palate is velvety and medium to full in body, with dried fruit, cinnamon, nutmeg and caramel set against light oak astringency. The finish is long and warm. It is best served at room temperature, as a digestif or in cocktails.
