Lux Oban Bay is an 11 year old Scotch single malt made at the Oban distillery, in a 70cl bottle. It is associated with a coastal region known for its maritime influence.
The nose balances peat smoke with a gentle malt sweetness, plus a little dried fruit and toffee. The palate is soft but rich, with citrus, honey and a touch of spice, and a light salty note. The finish is long, with smoke returning alongside a sweet memory of baked apple.
