Mac-Talla Flavourscapes Fogharach (70cl, 54.2%)

Fogharach is a single malt from Islay, bottled by Morrison Distillers under the Mac-Talla name at 54.2% in a 70cl bottle. It has natural colour and has not been chill-filtered. It belongs to the Flavourscapes series, a collaboration between Mac-Talla and the artist Marzia Sileno, who turns the flavour of each whisky into a picture. The name is Gaelic for autumnal, or related to the autumn harvest. The tasting notes describe a harvest-gold whisky with warm fruit, peaty undertones, sherried baked fruits, almonds and a subtle hint of spice.
