Mac-Talla Mara is an Islay single malt bottled by Morrison Distillers under its Mac-Talla brand. It was matured in American oak and bottled at 58.2% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and without chill filtration.
The whisky is peated and smoky in character, and is presented as a reflection of Islay's shores, where the sea meets the land.
The nose combines bonfire smoke with citrus zest, marzipan and almonds. On the palate there is Islay peat smoke against almond and soft citrus, with a creamy vanilla note and charred oak. The finish is medium to long, with vanilla, oak, a touch of spice and warmth.
