Strata is a 15 year old peated single malt from Islay, released under the Mac-Talla name by the Morrison family. The name means echo in Gaelic and refers to the family's long connection with the island. The whisky is matured in casks that previously held bourbon and sherry.
It is bottled at 46% ABV, with no added colour and no chill filtration.
The nose is smoked barley, shell and sherry fruit. On the palate it is very soft, with peat and spices, and a rich, warm character.
