Mac-Talla Strata is a 15 year old single malt from Islay, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry and ex-bourbon oak casks.
The nose has tangy orange and cherry from the sherry cask, along with fishing nets, wet sandy beaches and rich aromatic smoke. The palate is just as rich, with dark fruits and chocolate giving a full mouthfeel that builds with peat and smoke, tangy spices, smoked kippers and honey drizzled over fruit cake.
