This is a Macallan 10 year old matured exclusively in sherry oak casks. It is an older style of the expression, from the early 2000s, and has since been discontinued.
The colour is pale gold. On the nose there is sweet toffee with dried fruits and sherry. The palate is smooth, with dried fruits, sherry sweetness and wood smoke, and the finish brings dried fruits, toffee and a little wood spice. It is described as a rich and fruity whisky.
