Macallan 10 Year Old Fine Oak is a single malt from the Macallan distillery in Craigellachie, Moray, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl size. It was made for the Japanese market.
The whisky was aged for ten years in a mix of bourbon and sherry oak casks, the dual-cask maturation that gives the Fine Oak series its name.
The nose is light and balanced, with floral and citrus hints. On the palate there is delicate oak, sweet vanilla and subtle spice, and the finish is smooth and lingering, with a touch of oak and malt sweetness.
