Macallan – 12 Year Old - Double Cask - Year of the Ox is a single malt whisky from Macallan (Speyside). Aged 12 years, bottled at 40% ABV, 70cl. The Macallan distillery was established in 1824 at Easter Elchies in Craigellachie, Speyside, and is one of Scotland's most recognised single malt producers, long renowned for its commitment to sherry oak maturation and bespoke cask procurement. The Macallan Double Cask 12 Year Old is matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry seasoned American and European oak casks, bottled at 40% ABV. This special release is presented in a uniquely designed gift box celebrating the Year of the Ox, drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese fabrics and depicting the Macallan Estate's landscape, the River Spey, barley fields and the distillery itself. The whisky is distilled and bottled by The Macallan Distillers Ltd., Easter Elchies, Craigellachie, Scotland.
