This is a 12 year old Macallan single malt from Speyside, bottled in the early 2000s in a 1 litre bottle.
It was matured in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, which fits the rich, full-bodied style associated with Speyside whiskies.
The palate is led by dried fruits such as raisins and figs, with oak spice adding warm hints of clove and nutmeg. Ginger gives a gentle lift and a subtle, aromatic finish.
