A 15-year-old Speyside single malt from The Macallan, bottled at 43% in a 750ml bottle.
The whisky is matured in sherry-seasoned European oak and sherry-seasoned American oak casks. Both types are first filled with Oloroso sherry at cooperages in Jerez before being sent to Speyside, and the two are married after a minimum of 15 years.
Tasting notes mention baked apple, ripe pear, honeycomb and vanilla on the nose, stewed fig, raisin and toffee on the palate, and a medium-to-long finish of butterscotch, chocolate and dried oak.
