This is the Macallan 1979 Gran Reserva, an 18 year old single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1997. The Gran Reserva bottlings were released between 1997 and 2002, and the 1997 bottling date places this one at the start of that period. It is widely regarded as one of the most memorable and legendary Macallans ever bottled.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
