This is a Macallan single malt distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2014 at 25 years old, released under the Coopers Choice label of the Vintage Malt Whisky Company. It was matured in hogsheads, and 275 bottles were produced at 46%.
The nose brings green apple, citrus peel and dried apricot, with cinnamon, a hint of mint and oaky vanilla. Ripe pear, creamy vanilla, honeyed apricot and toasted almonds follow on the palate. The finish is spiced vanilla with crisp apple peel.
