Macallan 2005 Exceptional Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2017. Only 257 bottles were released, in a 70cl size at 69.4% ABV.
It was matured in sherry oak casks from Jerez, in Spain.
The nose is citrus, dried apricots and subtle spice. The palate brings toffee, orchard fruits and a hint of vanilla, and the finish is long and warm, with light honey notes.
