This is a Macallan single malt distilled in 1971 and matured for 23 years in sherry casks. Hart Brothers bottled it at 43% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is deep red strawberry and ripe plum, with dark chocolate, soft caramel, damsons and berries. The palate is smooth, rich and creamy, with milk chocolate, forest fruits, golden honey, a hint of ginger, cinnamon and a touch of ground coffee. It finishes balanced, on dark fruits and soft toffee.
