This is a 25 year old Macallan from the Skene Reserve collection, bottled for George Strachan Ltd. It was distilled in December 1993, matured in an Oloroso cask and bottled in 2019 at 50.2% ABV. Only 60 bottles were produced.
The nose combines ripe apricot, dried figs and blackcurrant with cinnamon, clove and warm oak. The palate has dark chocolate, spiced apple pie, roasted nuts and a note of orange, with a creamy texture. The finish is long, with honeyed raisins and a touch of spiced oak.
