This is Macallan 25 Year Old, a single malt bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in 1977 to commemorate The Queen's Silver Jubilee. It is bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose combines crisp apple, ripe pear, dried apricot and dark berries with cinnamon, earthy thyme and a little oak. On the palate come honey, chocolate, plum and almond in a creamy texture, with gentle spice. The finish is long, with warming oak, baking spices and a sweet, nutty note.
