Macallan – 30 Year Old Double Cask 2022 Release (70cl, 43%)

This is the 2022 release of Macallan 30 Year Old Double Cask, a single malt bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent 30 years maturing in sherry casks made from American and European oak. The Double Cask range brings together oak from northern Spain, the French Pyrenees and the forests of Ohio, Missouri and Kentucky. The colour is golden. The nose is fresh honeycomb, sweet toffee, red apple, figs and vanilla pods. On the palate come cinnamon, ginger, vanilla, dried fruit and oak. The finish is sweet oak, gentle spice and toffee.
