Macallan 30 Year Old Double Cask is a Speyside single malt from the 2024 release, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV.
It was matured for thirty years in a combination of sherry-seasoned American oak and sherry-seasoned European oak, and its colour comes naturally from the casks.
On the nose there is sweet toffee, dried fruits, vanilla pods and honeycomb. The palate brings cinnamon and ginger warmth with sultanas and toasted oak, and the finish is lingering, with soft spice, toffee sweetness and freshly planed oak.
