This is the 2022 release of Macallan Sherry Oak 30 Year Old, a single malt matured for thirty years in oloroso sherry casks. It comes in a 70cl bottle and belongs to the Macallan sherry oak range, which uses sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez.
The nose is deep sherry with nutmeg and cloves. The palate shows dried fruits, more sherry and wood smoke, and the balanced finish carries orange and spice with a rich mouthfeel.
