Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak 2023 is a Speyside single malt matured for thirty years in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks of European oak from Jerez in Spain. It is bottled at 43% ABV, and its deep mahogany colour is entirely natural.
It comes in a wooden box of European oak with a hinged lid.
The nose has ripe figs, dates, raisins and plums, with dark chocolate, cinnamon, clove and orange zest. The palate brings black cherries, nutmeg, ginger and black pepper, with honey and roasted almonds. The finish is very long, with raisins, dark cocoa, soft spice and a hint of leather.
