Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry is a Speyside single malt aged for thirty years and bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
Sherry casks add a rich, dark fruit character to the palate, and the whisky is noted for a long, smooth finish.
On the nose there are red currant, grapes, sultana, vanilla, caramel brittle, soft baked chocolate cookies and poached peach with a hint of cinnamon. The palate carries the same richness, with sultana, dates, Turkish delight, milk chocolate and honey, and a little ginger adding gentle spice.
