The Macallan 73 Year Old is the second volume in the Tales of The Macallan series. It was distilled in 1949 and bottled in 2022 at 44.8%, and only 344 bottles were produced. It comes in a hand-crafted Lalique crystal decanter, housed in an 800-page leather-bound almanac illustrated by Andrew Davidson. The release honours the founder, Alexander Reid, and marks the distillery's 200th anniversary. The nose has forest fruit, woodsmoke, antique oak and warming spice. The palate brings black cherries, dark chocolate orange and ginger cake, leading to a long, smoky finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
