Macallan Art Is The Flower is a single malt inspired by the Scottish architect, designer and artist Charles Rennie Mackintosh and his 1902 stained glass panel 'The Spirit of the Rose'. It is bottled at 50.4%.
European oak, a nod to Mackintosh's time in Europe, provides the main oak notes, spice and dried fruit, alongside lighter notes of fruits that carry their own blossom.
The nose offers dried fruits, raisins and fig with polished oak, cherry, orange, almonds and treacle. On the palate come sweet oak, raisins, vanilla and ginger, with apple and a hint of leaf tea. The finish is long, sweet and rich.
