Macallan – Classic Cut 2023 (70cl, 50.3%)

Macallan Classic Cut 2023 is the seventh release in the distillery's annual limited series. It is a Speyside single malt bottled at 50.3% in natural colour, in a 70cl bottle. It combines the sweet lightness of American bourbon casks with the depth and complexity of Macallan's sherry seasoned oak casks. Only the finest cut of the spirit is used, and just 16 per cent of the new make is filled into casks. Each cask is chosen by hand under the Master of Wood. It is typically described with notes of juicy pear, lemon peel, creamy vanilla, delicate oak and almonds.
