Macallan – Classic Cut Release 2023

Macallan Classic Cut is a Speyside single malt made at the Easter Elchies estate under the Master of Wood. This is the 2023 release. It brings together oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry in Jerez and with bourbon in Kentucky. That mix of casks gives the whisky its golden colour. The nose combines ripe pear and elderflower with almond and warm vanilla. On the palate, soft vanilla and juicy pear meet bright lemon peel and a light oak structure. The finish carries sweet woody notes and the character of freshly baked almond pastries.
