Macallan – Decades Twenties (50cl, 40%)

This is Macallan Decades Twenties, an official bottling from the Decades series, which recreates the style of Macallan from the 1920s. It is a single malt in a 50cl bottle at 40% ABV, bottled in the early 2000s. The nose is described as orange zest, overripe figs and red currants with cinnamon, thyme and seasoned oak. The palate is rich, with caramel and spiced apple, vanilla and roasted nuts. The finish is long and warming, with toasted almonds and a note of dried apricot.
