Macallan Easter Elchies Black 2019 is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle at 49.7% ABV. It was released through a ballot.
The nose offers bright apple, ripe pear, dried apricot and red berries, with cinnamon, a hint of clove and toasted oak. The palate is honeyed malt and butterscotch, with spiced orange zest, nutmeg and hints of dark chocolate, and an oily texture.
The finish is long and warming, with caramel, gentle smoke, charred wood and sweet vanilla.
